Not far from town, to the south, is Razorback Ridge.
It is used by local "rock climbers" - but I think it is an amazing rock formation.
For those who are fit and have all the equipment - you can scale the sheer rock face. For those who would prefer a leisurely stroll to the top to see the view - well you can.
Razorback Ridge has a very lovely incline on the other side of the sheer rock face side - and regardless of how you get to the top - the view is pretty awesome - even during the drought we are having!
What made the view all the more spectacular on my visit - was all the dark stormy clouds that were all around. They promised some much needed rain, but they kept on keeping on - and passed us by, with the odd sprinkle here and there.
At the base of the ridge is a lovely little forrest of native trees. Well, more like a clump than a forrest - but it does provide much needed shade and relief on those really hot days.
