The Astronomy Club of Mount Isa has an Observatory located at the Lions Youth Camp on the northern edge of Lake Moondarra. Mount Isa's main water source.
A few members of the local Photography Club got together for an amazing night in May 2013, and some, like myself, were able to connect our camera to a telescope to take photos of some remarkable things - including Saturn!!

| Saturn - I was totally blown away by being able to see this - let alone take a photo! |

| Full Moon |

These two photos were taken at the end of our visit - the moon was full - but there was no light pollution from town visible.
I set the camera up and left the shutter open for around 30sec for each shot. I just love the colours |
