It is nearly that time of year again - where Mount Isa's main water source gets busy!!
The 2013 Lake Moondarra Classic will be held from Friday, 25 October through to Sunday, 27 October.
There is a variety of events happening over the weekend - with the added bonus for all the fisherman to hopefully bring in the Big Catch - a Tagged Barra worth $50,000!! This fishing competition is the The richest freshwater fishing event in Queensland.
Along with the Barramundi, there is also sooty grunter, archerfish, catfish, longtom and sleepy cod to be caught.
If fishing is not your cup of tea - there is also "Dragon Boat" racing, a Beach Volleyball competition, Fireworks and live music. The Super Tank will also be back this year. Filled with fish from the lake, you can learn what lures and lines to use to get yourself a great catch for the different species of fish in the lake.
